As part of a full renovation of this 1990’s split level home, the brief for the garden was to create an outdoor space that feels relaxed, stylish, and reflective of the updated style of the property. The design takes cues from Palm Springs and Mediterranean influences, balancing sculptural planting with a soft, flowing layout.
The existing pool, already boasting a great shape, was resurfaced and refined with new concrete, including a curved poolside platform designed to accommodate daybeds, enhancing both function and visual appeal, while softening the geometry of the space.
A winding path leads through layered planting to a lower fire pit area, forming a natural journey. The layout offers a series of distinct zones for relaxing and entertaining, while maintaining a strong overall connection between home and garden.
Designed to capture incredible sunset views and maximise the home’s potential for entertaining, this project was all about creating a backyard that feels like a destination. It delivers on the brief by blending personality with practicality, turning the outdoor space into a true extension of the home that can be enjoyed any time of day.
